Congrats to the Graduating Class of 2020!  

As we all know, traditional graduation ceremonies are not part of this year's class and it has been so hard. But that isn't stopping the amazing creativity coming from the Grads, their families, the schools and the community in their efforts to honour and celebrate in different ways.  

I was fortunate to photograph Elise, her family and friends celebrate in style down at the Pier in Sidney. The dresses and suits were stunning, parents were beaming all the while the regular Sidney walkers and "wheelers" shouted congrats along their walks.  Elise had past teachers, friends and other special people in her life come by and wish her all the best.  

Generations of people just stopped to watch and enjoy the celebrations. It does a heart good to witness it all. Young and old were all celebrating along with them. I had to add one photo of a sweet older gentleman talking to three of the girls and asking what they were doing.  When they shared with him it was their high school Graduation, he cheered for them and congratulated them and then "scooted" away.  It was so special and also...so Sidney.  

Here are just a few photographs of Elise and her family and a few friends.  It was so special to be part of their day and see how the whole community celebrated with them. It really does take a village.
