As a small business owner I know that being a member of the Saanich Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has been very important to my business.  Not only have I learned a lot about the business side of photography (let's just say it wasn't my "gift") I have met a lot of great people - many of which have become friends.  

I used to think that learning and networking was the best aspect of being a Chamber member...until last Thursday's 5 Chamber Mixer at Level Ground Coffee in Central Saanich.  

The 5 Chamber Mixer was a networking event bringing together the various members of the Chamber of Commerce in Greater Victoria.  But it was something much more to me - it brought together three of my favourite things. Level Ground Coffee (enjoying it right now as I type), chocolate covered toffee bark from Amber's amazing Rock Coast and delicious pizza from Truffles Catering.  I was in heaven.  The only thing missing would be enjoying it all sitting on a blanket with a litter of Golden Retriever puppies.  Can you imagine?  OK...I digress. 

So, I have a confession.  The coffee, chocolate and delicious food is now my favourite part of being a Chamber member.  I will have to talk to Denny and Pat at the Chamber and request the puppies for next year's event.
